We are supporting the national effort to keep everyone safe, and whilst we are pleased to reopen the grounds, the visitor centre will remain closed for a little longer. Takeaway refreshments with be available in the marquee located in the grounds.

We're following government guidelines and are making some changes to make sure that everyone who visits, works and volunteers in and around the site to ensure everyone can enjoy their day safely.

We hope we’ve answered all your questions but if there is anything else you would like to know before your visit, please do get in touch.

Q Do I need to book online before I visit?
A

It will not be necessary to book online before you visit however we are committed to ensuring that visitors are able to safely distance and this will be regularly reviewed, so please keep an eye on this page.

Q Is the boat lift open for boat trips?
A

We understand how much you would like to book on a boat trip on your visit but due to social distancing requirements we are unable to open the lift for boat trips yet. We are carefully monitoring this and will update the website with more information.

Q What safety measures have you put in place regarding Covid-19?
A

There is a signposted one-way route around site to follow to make sure you get the most out of your visit. You will see members of our team out and about who may ask you to wait a moment to ensure a suitable social distance is maintained. We have installed hand sanitising stations throughout the site to allow visitors to keep their hands clean and these are clearly signed.

Q Are you supporting the NHS Track and Trace Service?
A

We are supporting the NHS Track and Trace initiative and ask you to download the new NHS Test and Trace app before visiting and have your phone ready to scan the code on arrival.

For our visitors without smartphones, there is an alternative way to record your details but to support the NHS, we would urge you to follow the app.

This is in line with other organisations in the sector together with restaurants, bars and hotels. For more information please visit our Privacy Policy.

Q Will the café be open for food and drinks?
A

We have created an outside takeaway coffee shop located in the marquee in the grounds. Please keep an eye on our Facebook pages for updates as we increase our offer as restrictions are lifted.

Q Will the shop be open?
 

We have moved a small amount of items to our outdoor marquee area. and we would ask you to only touch the items you wish to purchase.

Q Can I pay with cash?
A

We are happy to accept any type of payment, but we would prefer contactless card payments. 

Q Do I need to wear a face mask?
A

You must wear a face covering when you are inside the marquee in the same way you would inside a shop. You may see some of our team wearing personal protective equipment to enhance our safety measures.

Can I use the interactives?

A
