We are pleased to open the grounds, visitor centre and coffee shop Tuesday to Thursday plus Saturday and Sunday. Boat trips will run at reduced capacity each Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Please telephone 01606 786777 in advance to book.

Thank you for your patience during the past 18 months.

We're following guidance from the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions and are making some changes to make sure that everyone who visits, works and volunteers in and around the site to ensure everyone can enjoy their day safely. 

We hope we’ve answered all your questions but if there is anything else you would like to know before your visit, please do get in touch.

Q Do I need to book online before I visit?
A

It will not be necessary to book online before you visit however we are committed to ensuring that visitors are able to safely distance and this will be regularly reviewed, so please keep an eye on this page.

Q Is the boat lift open for boat trips?
A

We understand how much you would like to book on a boat trip on your visit. we are operating at reduced capacity and spaces are limited. Please telephone 01606 787666 to book in advance. 

Q What safety measures have you put in place regarding Covid-19?
A

We have installed hand sanitising stations throughout the site to allow visitors to keep their hands clean and these are clearly signed. 

Q Are you supporting the NHS Track and Trace Service?
A

We are supporting the NHS Track and Trace initiative and ask you to download the new NHS Test and Trace app before visiting and have your phone ready to scan the code on arrival.

For our visitors without smartphones, there is an alternative way to record your details but to support the NHS, we would urge you to follow the app.

Q Will the coffee shop be open for food and drinks?
A

Our coffee shop is open serving food and a selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks with indoor and outdoor seating available. Please continue to wear a face covering when you are in the indoor space.

Q Will the shop be open?
 

Our gift shop is often and we would ask you continue to wear a face covering in the indoor space and only touch the items you wish to purchase.

Q Can I pay with cash?
A

We are happy to accept any type of payment, but we would prefer contactless card payments. 

Q Do I need to wear a face mask?
A

We advise you to wear a face covering when you are inside the visitor centre, coffee shop and gift shop. You may see some of our team wearing personal protective equipment to enhance our safety measures.

Can I use the interactives?

A
