We provide opportunities for young people to develop their knowledge and skillsets through volunteering, apprenticeships, resources and more.

Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) learning programme aims to inspire secondary school students using our waterways as an ever developing learning resource.

Through our Explorers learning programme, we hope to stimulate a lifelong positive engagement with our canals and rivers by engaging children aged 5-11.

Our learning programme is closely linked to the national curriculum and group badges and highly regarded by teachers and group leaders.

The Explorers programme relies on the support of a team of education volunteers who donate time, skills and passion to enable more children to experience our waterways and the rich learning environment they provide.

Our dedicated volunteers lead inspiring visits on the towpath, in our museums or in your school or clubhouse.
