Boat trips on the Edwin Clark

The best way to experience the lift is the climb aboard the Edwin Clark.

The Edwin Clark

Our hard-working, glass sided boat trip boat is 'The Edwin Clark', named after the engineer who designed and constructed this clever bit of Victorian machinery. It seats up to 56 passengers and will accommodate two wheelchairs.

River Cruises along the Weaver

While this 150-year-old structure undergoes essential repairs during the 2026 season, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Take in the iconic ‘Cathedral of the Canals’ from a unique perspective on board the Edwin Clark trip boat, cruising from the base of the lift along the Weaver Navigation.

Trips last approximately one hour.

Running times

Our boat trips run most days at 10am, 11:15am, 1:30pm & 2:45pm.
