Following the latest lockdown arrangements for England the gift shop and Llanthony tea room will be closed from 3pm on Wednesday 4 November.
For more information on our response to coronavirus please read our latest coronavirus update.
Please keep checking our social media for updates on re-opening, and we hope to welcome everyone back as soon as it is safe to do so.
Housed in the old Llanthony Warehouse in the heart of what once was the bustling Gloucester Docks, the gift shop and Llanthony tea room are free to visit throughout the year.
Who doesn't love a little shop - full of trinkets and treasures that help you hold on to the magical memories made on your day out at our museum? Add a relaxing coffee and a slice of cake - lovely!
Ours gift shop is a treasure trove of gifts and goodies that changes with the seasons. From pocket money treats and old-fashioned sweets to painted canal ware and original prints. As well as some lovely crafts and modern takes on museum memorabilia including handmade rag rugs created by the Friends of the National Waterways Museum. Plus, you will find a comprehensive selection of canal books, guides, and maps - well, we are the National 'Waterways' Museum after all...
If you’re a regular visitor to our museums and attractions, you’ll know they all have gift shops packed full of family favourites and canal-themed goodies. So, this Christmas, we thought we’d share a few of our customers’ favourites in our guide to canal-themed gifts.
When it's time to take the weight off your feet head to the ground floor. There you'll find Llanthony Tea Room with a range of tasty treats to tempt you.
You'll find seasonal hot and cold drinks, as well as a selection of delicious cakes and sweet treats. Plus the all important ice cream! You can enjoy them in the café or, on a sunny day, take a seat outside to relax and do a spot of gongoozling!
We have made a few changes to make sure our visitors and the museum team are kept safe. Our tearoom will be open for take-away drinks and refreshments which can be enjoyed in our new outdoor seating area overlooking Orchard Square.
The museum and tea room welcome dogs on leads and we sell ice cream for dogs too.
