So you've just crossed the jaw-dropping heights of Pontcysllte Aqueduct - or you're gearing yourself up for it. Take some time to moor up in the Trevor Basin.
The Trevor Basin has often been referred to as the 'tuning fork' after its shape by locals. Today, it provides a much needed mooring and turning facility for canal boats north of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, before venturing on along the narrow navigation feeder channel of the Llangollen Canal to the Llangollen Marina. As well as the public toilets at the visitor centre, next to the car park, short term moorings and a tasty selection of local hostelries, you can find more facilities' details on our North Wales facilites sheet.
