We love and care for your canals and rivers, because everyone deserves a place to escape.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Trevor Basin Visitor Centre is located just over 3 miles from the famous town of Llangollen and 8 miles from Wrexham. Both Liverpool and Manchester airports are approximately 55 miles away.

Vehicle parking

The car and coach parking is controlled by Wrexham County Borough Council and is currently free of charge. There are three car parks signposted off the A539; two small car parks off Station Road and a larger car park at Wimbourne Gate, Queens Street, Cefn Mawr, a short walk from the aqueduct.

Pontcysyllte is a rural area and although the postcode LL20 7TY in your Sat Nav does get you to the aqueduct please check your route before you come and also note the brown signs in the area to avoid narrow and steep routes.
