Housed in the old Llanthony Warehouse in the heart of what once was the bustling Gloucester Docks, the museum will take you on a whole new journey, charting the 200-year history of the docks and the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.
Please note that we are unable to run boat trips at the moment due to the extensive repairs needed on our trip boat. Thank you for your understanding.

The Grade II listed grain warehouse has been renovated, refreshed and rebranded thanks to over £1m from the Heritage Lottery Fund and DCMS/Wolfson Museums & Galleries Improvement Fund.
With fun, interactive exhibits, a café and a museum shop, you'll discover the stories of the communities that lived and continue to thrive here.
An urban environment may not seem a likely place for wildlife but why not investigate wildlife habitats with a difference with our fun wildlife trail? Walk around the docks – plenty of bird life to enjoy.
Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
The most economical ticket to the museum is an annual pass. It allows you to return as many times as you like during a 12-month period. Please keep your annual pass safe, as you will need to show it at the desk each time you visit. We are unfortunately unable to admit visitors without a valid ticket.

The No. 8, 10 & 12 buses stop at ‘The Docks, Gloucester’ which is a short walk to the Museum. The Museum is about a 15-20 minute walk from both Gloucester Train Station and Central Bus Station. If you are coming from the bus or train station head into the centre of town and follow Southgate Street until you reach the Docks.
