Youth health and wellbeing
Spending just a little time by water can have a positive impact on both physical health and mental wellbeing. We provide opportunities for young people to get outdoors, experience the waterways, have fun and meet new people locally.
By working closely with communities, we can better understand how young people want to engage with their local canals and rivers. Together we then co-create activities that match their needs and interests.
Whether it’s a relaxing towpath yoga session, a guided bike ride, a paddleboard or canoe taster session, a street art project or a quiet afternoon angling, the waterways have something for everyone.
Our activities include:
- visual and performing arts
- cultural events
- sports and activity programmes
- youth loneliness projects
