Our recently refurbished Watersedge Café is serving up some delicious treats and family favourites - what a lovely, cosy café to enjoy a day out with the family or a catch up with friends.
This location is closed from Friday 20 March for the protection of our visitors and staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
We're adding new meals to the menu on a weekly basis.
Fancy breakfast at teatime? Our full breakfasts are available all day every day, Monday to Friday and available until 11:30am on weekends. Our meat is locally produced from Hinchliffe's Farm shop in Honley.
Our most popular breakfast is the Boaters Breakfast: Sausages, bacon, black pudding, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, sauté potatoes, egg and toast. Vegetarian and vegan options also available.
You'll also find the usual breakfast sandwiches and 'on toast' meals. We can also do smaller portions for those who prefer.
There's a range of freshly prepared wraps, with vegetarian and vegan fillings available also. Plus a variety of sandwiches and salads.
One of our favourites at the moment is the: Pulled pork, in BBQ sauce served in a warm ciabatta.
Our chef produces new specials every week. Like our Facebook page: Standedge Visitor Centre to see our regular updates on new specials.
If you have a specific allergy or dietary need please let us know when you order. Please note we use a wide variety of ingredients in our kitchen, some may contain allergens. Gluten Free bread is also available on request.
We love dogs at Standedge Tunnel! Our recently refurbished cafe is completely dog friendly, with water bowls available outside or on request.
There's plently of nice walks around here for you and your dog to enjoy. You'll even find yummy dog treats and dog bags in the cafe. And what about our doggy deal? When you buy any meal off the menu, your dog gets a free sausage!
If you are a wheelchair user or have a pushchair with you, you'll find a ramp into our Watersedge Cafe. There's loads of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your food and time here.
Parents, grab yourself a tea or coffee from the Watersedge cafe then sit and relax while the kids enjoy themselves on our popular soft play area. On sunnier days why not play outside?
