The Watersedge Coffee House

The Watersedge Coffee House is serving up some delicious treats and family favourites. It's a lovely, cosy restaurant to enjoy a day out with the family or a catch up with friends.

Watersedge Cafe at Standedge Tunnel

The café is now run by a volunteer group called Friends of Standedge. All proceeds raised are split between Canal & River Trust and the group, who use the money to maintain and further improve the site for visitors. Hot and cold drinks available, along with delicious cakes and cheese toasties.

Opening times

Opening times Friday Saturday Sunday 10 – 3, subject to the availability of volunteers. Open more days in school holidays, or by special arrangement.”

Dog friendly!

We're dog friendly at Standedge Tunnel

We love dogs at Standedge Tunnel! The Watersedge Coffee House is completely dog friendly, with water bowls available outside or on request.

There's plently of nice walks around here for you and your dog to enjoy.

The Watersedge Coffee House access

If you are a wheelchair user or have a pushchair with you, you'll find a ramp into the building and a fully accessible toilet is available. There's loads of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your food and time here.
