Let's get active by water

More and more people are discovering that our canals and rivers are great places to get active and enjoy a happier, healthier life. Whether that's joining a regular club or visiting one of our many events. Here are just a few to look out for near you.

Let's paddle

You'll find a number of events up and down the waterways this year. Many aimed at the whole family. Canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding are all exciting ways to actually get on the water and you don't have to be an expert to try it.

Let's Fish!

Our award winning, free learn to fish programme is running over 250 events across England and Wales this year. With everything you need to get up and netting provided, including level 2 professional angling coaches, see below for your local event.

Let's yoga

We believe our waterways have real restorative and recharging properties. Yoga sessions are becoming an increasingly popular activity to hold by the rippling water of a canal or river. Here are just a few you can find right now.

Let's walk

You'll find walking routes all over our canals and rivers. Many circular so you can stop where you started. But we're also holding several guided walks. Some are wildlife and nature themed. Others are about just meeting up with friends new and old and spending time by the water.
