We love and care for your canals and rivers, because everyone deserves a place to escape.

Standedge Tunnel & Visitor Centre

Standedge Tunnel is Britain's longest canal tunnel and located beneath the beautiful Pennine countryside.

Standedge Tunnel is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways. Explore deep into this marvellous Yorkshire attraction on one of our underground boat trips, stop for a bite to eat in Watersedge cafe, and let kids jump, climb and explore our playground, wildlife garden and nature trail.

Please note: we will be closed on Monday 25 April due to electrical working being carried out in the area by Northern Powergrid. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
