Opening times

Foxton is open every day of the year and admission is free.

Winter (24 October to 16 March)

During winter, the locks are open for boats between 9am and 2:45pm.

The Boilerhouse Museum is open between 11am and 4pm at the weekend only. Admission is £4 for adults and £1 for accompanied children.

Please note the museum will be closed from 19 December until 4 February for maintenance.

Car parking

There are two car parks at Foxton Locks. The long stay car park is directly off the Gumley Road and costs £2 per day.  The short stay car park is down the service road towards the locks and costs £2:50 for 4 hours; £4 for 8 hours (after 5pm is free).  Special parking charges may apply on event days.

Disabled parking

There are disabled parking spaces in the short stay car park and on the access road to the Boilerhouse Museum.

Drinks and refreshments

Drinks and refreshments are available at the Top Lock Coffee Stop, Bridge 61 pub and the Foxton Locks Inn pub and restaurant.
