Fishing is fun, it's good for your mind and body, and it's something the whole family can enjoy. You'll always remember the first time you caught a fish. We will even present you with your Let's Fish! certificate as a memento of the occasion.

Suitable from a young age

Each year, typically between March and October, we host hundreds of learn-to-fish introductory taster events called Let's Fish!, which are supported by local angling clubs. They're suitable for adults and children aged six or over. Although, at the coach's discretion, slightly younger children may be able to share a slot with an older person.

My son’s been wanting to fish for ages. We’re having fishing lessons. I’m excited. Catching a bunch of fish, I think I’m almost at 20 fish.
My children are enjoying it, and I’ve enjoyed having a go as well.
Oh, it’s really good one-to-one. You learn so much, especially, and it’s teaching me as well, so I get a lot out of it, too.
So, how many is that now? Five. Five? And how many minutes have we been fishing? Five? Five minutes. I think five and a half, maybe, we’ve slowed down.
And it calmed him down tremendously because he’s a very wild child.
I’d really like to have a fishing rod for Christmas.
Everybody’s really friendly and helpful, and it makes it an enjoyable experience.
