Pension scheme

We understand that saving to meet your retirement goals is important which is why you will be automatically enrolled into the Trust’s pension scheme within the first month of joining us.  The scheme is administered by Standard Life and has a minimum contribution rate of 3%.  The Trust will match colleague contributions into the scheme at a rate of 2x up to a maximum of 10%:

Wellbeing

As an outdoors organisation, we want to encourage colleagues to make time for their physical health.  Being out and about on our network enables colleagues to appreciate the variety of sites and visitor attractions we manage and maintain, some of which offer free entry to Trust colleagues.

In addition, the Trust offers a cycle to work scheme, a comprehensive occupational health service and free access to a Virtual GP for all colleagues.

Mental health and emotional wellbeing

Making time for our mental health and emotional wellbeing is also as important which is why colleagues have access to a 24-hour employee assistance helpline. The helpline can provide up to 4 free counselling sessions as well as guidance and support on a huge range of life questions and issues.

Additionally, through our inclusion circles and Mental Health First Aiders, we provide judgement-free, supportive places for sharing life's challenges.

Holidays

Colleagues will start with 25 days annual leave (full-time equivalent) rising to 27 days after three years continuous service and 30 days with five years. The holiday year runs from April to March each year and, subject to eligibility, colleagues also have the opportunity to purchase an additional five days leave in each holiday year.

MORE FOR YOU offers and discounts

Colleagues can register with our Corporate offers and discounts site to benefit from great savings on everything from grocery shopping to luxury goods.

At the Trust, we empower our people to thrive both personally and professionally. Our colleagues benefit from a range of perks and the chance to make a significant impact. We take pride in protecting heritage and preserving wildlife, and the same goes for our people. We are as committed to conservation as we are our colleagues, and as dedicated to leaving a positive legacy and healthier environment for future generations as we are towards long career pathways with the charity. We harness the differing ways of working and thinking, ensuring that everyone feels valued, supported and inspired to grow and reach their full potential.
