South Wales & Severn Partnership

The main purpose of our partnership is to connect local people and communities with the waterways here in the South Wales & Severn region.

Our partnerships give local people a voice in developing and improving their local waterways. Essentially acting a bit like a parish council, helping to guide our decisions and championing the waterways in this region.

There are 10 partnerships covering the Canal & River Trust’s 2,000 miles of waterways, with the chair of each partnership having a seat on our main council.

You can find out more about our partnerships and how they fit into our structure, including the partnerships terms of reference, on our waterways partnerships page.
