Why volunteer with us?

There are many reasons why people volunteer to help on our waterways. You might want to meet new people, gain new skills, help maintain the local area that you love or just get out of the house and get some fresh air. There's nowhere better to share tea and biscuits.

Don't forget the all-important cuppa Volunteer taking a well-deserved break at Brynich

Here are some of the top reasons that our volunteers give for working with us:

  • to keep fit and active
  • to help keep the history and heritage of our waterways alive
  • to feel part of the canal/riverside community
  • to meet new people
  • to make a difference locally
  • to learn new skills

Whatever your reasons, it is likely that you and others will benefit far more than you ever expected.
