The Worcester Canal Group first partnered with the Trust in 2012 and have since offered thousands of hours enhancing the amenity value of the canal, for their local community and visitors.
Support tasks include: litter picking and vegetation cutting. Along with guidance and support from the Trust’s heritage and ecology team they've all enjoyed: tree planting, wall rebuilding, installation of benches and tackling the invasive floating pennywort.
The Partner Group are active within the Worcester City Boundary, between Locks 1 (Diglis) to Lock 9 (Blackpole).
A wonderful group of people, whose dedication and love for their local area is a real asset for the Trust. They are always striving to find ways to improve the canals for everyone; their frequent litter picks are buzzing with community spirit as everyone mucks in to keep Worcester clean and tidy.
