Bosley Lock flight virtual walk

We know that it's not always possible to visit the canal when you want to and so we've put together a virtual walk along the Bosley Lock Flight so that you can experience what the canal has to offer without leaving home.

This walk has been put together as part of our Active Waterways Cheshire programme.

The route

While you're welcome to enjoy the route from the comfort of your own home you can also enjoy it in person.

If you stand with the canal in front of you turn right and follow the canal all the way to lock 12 before turning around and returning to the start.

Start and end point: Bosley Locks Boater's facilities, Bullgate lane, CW12 2PB

Distance: 2 miles (At Lock 12, you turn around and walk back on yourself)

Parking: Available at the facility or in the layby outside the facility. Room for 10 cars

Public transport: Bus 109 from Macclesfield, bus stop on A523 (0.5 mile walk down to canal)
