Unlock and capture Diglis Island's Secrets Experience

Step onto the private manmade Diglis Island in the River Severn to experience the unexplored wildlife and industrial canal heritage.

Calling all photographers

Following refreshments and a tour of the island, professional photographer Paul Kilgallon shares techniques to get the best out of digital and film cameras and camera phones. With Diglis Island brimming with inspirational photo opportunities, a good picture is within everyone’s reach.

Then it’s outside to explore parts of the Island not usually open to the public. This haven of peace and tranquillity is full of subjects ready to be captured on camera - from beautiful wildflowers to atmospheric Victorian canal buildings and structures. Paul takes each small group on a photographic expedition – stopping at the picture-perfect places as well as encouraging everyone to seek out their own photogenic vistas and subjects.

The session finishes back at the workshop for a chance to share and discuss photographs over coffee and cake. Then, everyone goes home with a souvenir of their time on the Island – a framed print of their favourite image.

The details

  • The workshop lasts 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Price: £45 per person.
