Annex 2 – Schedule of personal information shared
Depending on the circumstances, your information may be shared in accordance with the following.

The Trust's external customer contact and mailing service providers. | For the management of our inbound calls, digital and email enquiries, and inbound/outbound mail. Also, for processing licence and mooring payments through our online web-based platform. |
Legal advisors, contractors, mooring providers, individuals, or organisations in connection with enforcement or other legal action. | For enforcement and legal action. |
Official authorities, organisations, and regulators (e.g., police, Trading Standards, DVLA, HMRC, Fire and Rescue Services, HM Coast Guard, CCTV operators, The Environment Agency, other government agencies, insurance companies). | For official Trust business (e.g., identification, evidential and instigative purposes), or where there is otherwise a lawful basis to share the information and a legitimate purpose for the organisation to use the information, or the information sharing is exempt from the provision of the UK GDPR barring disclosure (for example where the police request information for the purpose of criminal investigations). |
Local councils or government agencies. | For the purpose of taxation and other legitimate government business, for example to validate a Trust relationship in respect of claims for grant schemes. |
The Boat Safety Scheme (a jointly run initiative between the Trust, the Environment Agency and other navigation authorities), for boating customers. | For business related to Boat Safety Certificates. |

Those we instruct to facilitate consultations, surveys, research, or Trust Council elections on our behalf. | To obtain your response to issues which might affect you, or to obtain your views on your experience with the Trust of its waterways, or to include you in the Trust Council election process. |
Meter Macs and other companies or organisations providing services to boating and mooring customers. | To administer the provision of water, electricity, and gas to moorings and facilitate the payment of such. |
Our external partners in relation to your transiting certain parts of our waterways or non-Trust waterways (e.g., Ribble Link, Bridgewater). | To administer and facilitate your safe passage when transiting non-Trust waterways, and to ensure compliance with licence requirements. |
Any relevant third parties in connection with any complaint process, or enquiry from a relevant third party, including the maker or subject of a complaint as appropriate in the circumstances. | To ensure appropriate and proportionate response to complaints and enquiries received. Limited information will be provided, and only where it is relevant to the complaint or enquiry, and necessary and proportionate in order to reach an appropriate resolution or outcome. |
The Waterways Ombudsman. | To deal with matters referred to the Waterways Ombudsman in relation to its independent adjudicatory role. |
