Water levels remain low between Pastures Lock 64 and Hallam Fields Lock 66, and this section of the navigation remains closed to normal boat movement while we continue to monitor conditions.

Our team is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. To help us plan these movements safely and efficiently, please provide as much notice as possible when requesting a passage. Due to low water levels, we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close a section of the Erewash Canal. The affected section is between Lock 64 (Pastures Lock) and Lock 65 (Stanton Lock). Please do not attempt to Navigate between these two locks until further notice, as water levels are too low for safe passage. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
