We love and care for your canals and rivers, because everyone deserves a place to escape.

Both the Canal Museum and Stoke Bruerne offer an authentic experience of waterways history – real objects, real stories and a real working canal. We also offer a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities for all ages.

Adult learning

Grown-ups can learn too!

For information about adult learning classes including traditional Roses and Castles painting weekends, please contact the museum.

School visits

We offer children the chance to discover a real canal, explore real historical objects and learn from real stories.

Our courses can be tailored to meet your requirements and we also welcome groups who prefer to plan their own activities.

We offer free planning visits, when you can meet with museum staff to discuss your requirements, tour the site and see the available resources.
