Dedications on the waterways

Dedicate a spot on our waterways with a bench, plaque, or something more unique and support canals for generations to come.

Donations cover the purchase and installation of the dedication, ongoing maintenance for a set period and a contribution to our wider work. Every donation received will help to keep the canals you love alive, with nature and their heritage protected for the future.

Bench

If you would like a special space to remember your loved one somewhere on our network, a memorial bench is a wonderful way to honour their memory. For memorial benches we request a donation of £4,000.

Dedicate a bench already installed on the waterways with your own special message for £1,800.

Coming soon – Memory Tree sculpture

Have a special dedication to your loved one engraved onto an ornamental leaf on our thoughtfully designed Memory Tree sculpture, for a donation of £200. Available soon at select locations across the network, your loved one’s name will become part of the beauty of the waterways.

Bespoke opportunities

You can also help protect and maintain our amazing network by dedicating a lock gate. These special opportunities start at around £40,000, depending on the location and complexity of the lock.
