Pocklington Canal photography competition

Get snappy and help celebrate the 200th anniversary of this beautiful canal. We’re looking for images that sum up “Life on the Waterways”. We’ve chosen this broad theme to allow your creativity to flourish – think dynamic landscape images, close ups of the man-made lock gate, shots of dog walkers on the towpath, snaps of kingfishers whizzing past or anything you feel fits the bill.

We want to celebrate the diversity of life on the waterway. This could be a local perspective, a visitor's viewpoint, showcasing the waterways' wildlife or focusing on their magnificent engineering.

Your photographs can be taken at any time but must have been taken along the Pocklington Canal. Each participant can submit up to 3 entries to the competition. The competition is open to participants aged 18 and over.

This competition is now closed. Entries submitted now will still be included in the gallery but not entered into the competition.

Full Terms and Conditions of the competition can be found here.
