The charity making life better by water

North West

You'll find both lively city experiences and wonderful wellbeing moments in out of the way places in the North West.

From Lancashire, across Greater Manchester and down into leafy Cheshire, our waters flow through northern powerhouse towns and open countryside, wild and dramatic.

There's plenty to see and do across the North West waterways. Enjoy a stroll around Liverpool's heritage steeped Albert Docks, take in an event (or three) at our National Waterways Museum or let your imagination take flight at the Cathedral of the Canals - Anderton Boat Lift. Maybe you prefer jogging along the Rochdale Canal or walking to work along the River Weaver? Whatever way you like to get active on or by the waterways, our team in the North West is making sure every mile of canal is open and accessible for you to use and enjoy today and every day.

See below for news, events, days out and even volunteering opportunities happening near you.
