The charity making life better by water

Issue 19

Welcome to issue 19 of Waterfront magazine.

In this edition, we discover how the Trust is responding to emergencies such as storm Babet, and how we are strengthening our waterways to protect them from future crises. We learn why Barn owls are now flourishing along the Aire & Calder Navigation, and how one man's passion for canals and wildlife has created a lasting legacy for Jubilee Woods at Caen Hill.

We also meet Sister Mary Ward, the Florence Nightingale of our Canals, and find out about our partnership with Sport England, which is helping people improve their health and wellbeing by water.
