A safe, family‑friendly event supporting Nightingale House Hospice and promoting responsible canal use.
The World Heritage Walk is a 13‑mile journey through the stunning and historic landscapes of Llangollen and Oswestry. Following iconic towpaths and footpaths, participants will enjoy unforgettable views across sites such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk Aqueduct, Trevor Basin and the Chirk Tunnel, making it one of North Wales’ most picturesque charity walks.
As part of our Year of the Challenge, this event offers an enjoyable experience for beginners, families, teams and dog‑walkers. Registration is £10 and includes a route pack, safety support, a finisher certificate and one free child place per adult. We encourage participants to raise sponsorship to support hospice care.
The walk begins with free parking at Lion Quays in Oswestry, followed by a complimentary shuttle to the Chainbridge Hotel in Llangollen. Expect a friendly atmosphere, beautiful scenery and a rewarding day out. Approx. 13 miles, taking 4–5 hours.
