World Chocolate Day (Mendip)

Starts: 5 July 2026

Ends: 5 July 2026

10am-4pm

National Waterways Museum Ellesmere Port South Pier Road Ellesmere Port Cheshire CH65 4FW

On this day, in recognition of National Chocolate Day we'll be celebrating all things chocolate and Mendip; the traditional narrowboat that Charlie ‘Chocolate’ Atkins used to transport chocolate crumb.

With World Chocolate Day coming up on 7 July, we’ll be celebrating all things chocolate ... but most of all Mendip; the traditional narrowboat that Charlie ‘Chocolate’ Atkins used to transport chocolate crumb between the Cadbury factories at Knighton and Bournville.

See Mendip in all her glory on display at the museum, take part in a chocolate hunt, chocolate crumb tasting and sample our tasty chocolate dips and snacks.
