Depending on the circumstances, your information may be shared outside of the Trust in accordance with the following.

Third partyPurpose
Our partner charities, societies, or organisations.To administer and manage our joint volunteering projects.
External occupational health service providers.To carry out an assessment of your ability to perform certain roles.
Oversight and regulatory bodies (e.g., The Maritime & Coastguard Agency).To share the results of these occupational health assessments for regulatory purposes.
External research agencies.To obtain a better understanding of your volunteering experience.
External communication and promotion partners.Your photograph, video, and written story/audio may be shared to communicate and promote our activities and celebrate your volunteering.
Official authorities, organisations, and regulators (e.g., police, Trading Standards, DVLA, HMRC, Fire and Rescue Services, CCTV operators, The Environment Agency, insurance companies).For official Trust business (e.g., identification, evidential and instigative purposes), or where there is otherwise a lawful basis to share the information, or the information sharing is exempt from the provision of the UK GDPR barring disclosure (for example where the police request information for the purpose of criminal investigations).
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), where necessary for the role.To undertake criminal records checks for the purpose of determining suitability for the role.
Any other external agents we have instructed to undertake services on our behalf.For effective administration of your volunteering.
External mail communication services.For effective, bespoke, and targeted emails in relation to your volunteering.
Those we instruct to facilitate consultations, surveys, research, or Trust Council elections on our behalf.To obtain your response to issues which might affect you, or to obtain your views on your experience with the Trust of its waterways, or to include you in the Trust Council election process.
Third-party research and analysis partners (e.g. Experian/Mosaic).For prospecting analysis purposes and to cross-reference information to ensure our records are up-to-date and otherwise accurate.
Those we instruct to facilitate or help manage training or volunteering events (e.g Neighbourly).For effective management of training or events.
