The charity making life better by water

Wildflowers by water

Your wildlife-friendly gift could help plant more wildflowers and help butterflies, bugs and bees thrive by water.

Your gift today could bring 1m2 of gorgeous wildflowers to our canal banks and help give biodiversity a boost.

Our canals are an amazing corridor of green space that run across our nation. Your gift could help plant native wildflowers along towpaths and canal banks, give pollinators like butterflies and bees a home, and make our waterways more beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Native species such as ox-eye daisies, purple-loosestrife or meadow sweet are honey pots for our threatened bees and butterflies. They provide pollen, encouraging breeding throughout the summer. In return, pollinators help the wildflowers to self-seed for the following year and provide birds and other small animals with energy-rich food to feast on.

Delight someone you love by helping cover our canals in wildflowers. Together we can help wildlife thrive.

All the funds donated through our 'Gifts with love from canals' are directly allocated to our mission of protecting our waterways and the wildlife that depends on them, helping make life better by water.
