The charity making life better by water

Youth safeguarding

We believe that no child, young person or adult at risk should ever experience abuse of any kind. We’re committed to providing safe environments that put your safety and welfare at the forefront at all times.

Little volunteers

Each year thousands of children and young people benefit from valuable activities along our canals and rivers, and within the Trust.

Nothing is more important to us than making sure that your experience with us is rewarding, fun, enjoyable and safe.

Reporting a safeguarding concern

It is always the right thing to report anything that you feel isn't quite right.

We will listen to what you have to say and take all claims seriously. Only the people that need to know will be involved, and we will support you throughout the process.

To report a safeguarding concern, please email our safeguarding team. If anyone is in immediate danger, dial 999.

Keeping you safe

We offer safeguarding training to all of our staff and volunteers, who must follow our clear safeguarding policy.

Our Safeguarding Steering Group, made up of representatives from across our organisation, make sure that the training our employees are given is up to date and in line with the most recent processes and procedures.
