The navigation and towpath will remain open. Works associated with the construction of the new highspeed railway, HS2, are taking place in this area, including the cutting of vegetation.
SCS, a contractor working on behalf of HS2, will be carrying out construction activities adjacent to the towpath. The work will involve a crane to lift materials into place.
A closure is required, for contractors working on behalf of HS2, to install a Bailey-type temporary bridge across the canal. Once sited, the bridge will be secured into place while the canal and towpath are open.
SCS, a contractor working on behalf of HS2, will be installing a temporary bridge over the navigation and towpath. The work involves a crane to lift the bridge sections into place.
The navigation and towpath will remain open. Contractors on behalf of HS2, will be carrying out construction activities on the towpath between Lock 5 and Lock 6.
Works associated with the construction of the new high speed railway – HS2 - are taking place in this area, including the installation of a temporary bridge. To ensure the safety of people and their craft, moorings will be suspended for the duration of the works.

There will be a width restriction in the navigation to maintain safety of customers and craft when works are being undertaken. Laing Murphy (LM), working on behalf of HS2, are to remove a section of retaining wall to the wet side of Lock 6.
Works associated with the construction of the new high speed railway – HS2 - are taking place in this area, including the installation of a temporary bridge. To ensure the safety of people on the towpath and those using the canal, both the towpath and canal will be closed.
