Use My Location
A large tree has fallen down 500m South of Bridge 94 on the Leicester Line. The tree is blocking the navigation and so boaters cannot currently travel along this section.
A tree has fallen blocking the North entrance to Shortwood Tunnel. Our contactors are on site carrying out emergency works to remove the fallen tree.
Overnight winds have brought a tree down across the canal and there is insufficient space to navigate around. We are currently mobilising a team to attend and remove the tree as soon a possible.
A tree has fallen blocking the navigation, passage between Newlay Lock and Bridge 219 is not possible at this time. Contractors are attending site to remove the tree.
A fallen tree is blocking the navigation between bridge 11 and bridge 12 – Castle Marina. Our team are assessing the tree and will remove it from the navigation as soon as possible.
There is a fallen tree blocking the towpath 500 yards from Bacon Lane Bridge towards Sheffield. We have notified Contractors to remove the tree as soon as possible.
A large tree has fallen across the canal by bridge 83. The towpath has been cleared, however specialist equipment is required in order to remove the tree entirely.
The navigation and towpath are closed due to large windblown trees at Bridge 28 W. Our contractors have been contacted and will be attending this location to remove the fallen trees on 2nd December.
A tree has fallen across the navigation between Wharf Bridge 25 and Foxwell's Bridge 26 on the Ashby canal. The tree is blocking the canal.
There is a tree down between bridge 41 and 42 on the Ashby canal. The tree is obstructing the navigation, however boats can still pass with care.
