Environment Agency

The EA work to create better places for people and wildlife, and support sustainable development. They serve to protect and enhance the environment in England.

Natural Resources Wales

They make sure the environment and natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, sustainably enhanced and sustainably used, now and in the future.

Centre for Ecology & Hydrology

A leading body in the United Kingdom for research and monitoring in terrestrial and freshwater sciences.

National River Flow Archive

The NRFA maintains and provides access to a comprehensive database of the country’s river flows and provides information on water resources nationally.

British Hydrological Society

They aim to promote all aspects of hydrology - the scientific study and practical implications of the movement, distribution and quality of freshwater in the environment.

Institution of Civil Engineers

They award professional qualifications that are the industry standard, lead the debates around infrastructure and the built environment and provide an unmatched level of training, knowledge and thinking.

Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management

CIWEM are the only Royal Chartered professional body dedicated to the water and environment sector. They represent and support a community of thousands of members globally, dedicated to improving water and environmental management and associated social and cultural issues.

The British Dam Society

BDS is open to anyone wanting to share experience or knowledge of all aspects of dams and reservoirs. BDS exists to advance the education of the public and the profession in technical subjects relating to planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, safety, environmental and social issues.
