Description
The Pocklington Beck which supplies the Pocklington canal is extremely low due to the reduced rainfall within the catchment area over the last few months.
In recent weeks sluices have not been fully closed leading to the short term closure of the canal. As a proactive measure to preserve water resources on the Pocklington canal and to keep the canal open, Cottingwith Lock will be closed from Monday 5th May.
48 hr advance booking will be required for passage through Cottingwith Lock.
All passages will be facilitated between Mon- Fri 08:00-15:00. Please contact Naburn Lock on 01904 728500 to plan your passage for the Pocklington canal.
