Work is beginning on the installation of the steelwork for the new footbridge over the canal as well as the access ramps and steps. The work is expected to last 3 weeks, with a half-day closure of the navigation, at a date to be confirmed, when the bridge deck will be lifted into position and secured in place.
The towpath will remain open, but marshals will be present on the to ask users to wait when activity on site requires.
