The towpath remains closed due to the fallen tree.
We are waiting for specialist contractors to attend to clear the site. This is taking longer than usual due to a backlog of work caused by the recent Storm.
We will provide a further update on or before Tuesday, 3 November 2026.

Please be advised there are windblown trees and vegetation matter affecting the towpath and picnic area at Tewitfield Services.
Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site first thing today to remove the obstruction.
Navigation will remain open; however, we politely request all customers to navigate through the affected area with care.
