Description

Original 25 October 2026, 3:29pm

Please be advised that two trees have fallen from the offside of the canal between Bridge 38w, Bryn Howel Bridge, and Bridge 36w, Bryn-Ceirch Bridge, and are blocking the navigation. Bryn Howel winding hole is still accessible to craft approaching from Llangollen.

Our teams are aware of the obstruction and will endeavour to remove the tree as soon as possible. Until the tree has been cleared, boaters are advised that navigation through this section is not possible.

With Storm Austen and Storm Boelo having brought adverse weather conditions this weekend, response times and the progress of clearance works may be affected. Boaters are advised to exercise caution when navigating the waterway.

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue.
