Description

Original 23 October 2026, 7:25pm

Please be advised a tree has fallen from the towpath side of the canal approximately 500m upstream of Bridge 73, Keeper's Bridge, and is blocking the navigation and towpath.

Our teams are aware of the obstruction and will endeavour to remove the tree as soon as possible. Until the tree has been cleared, boaters are advised that navigation through this section is not possible.

With Storm Austen and Storm Boelo forecast to bring adverse weather conditions this weekend, response times and the progress of clearance works may be affected. Boaters are advised to exercise caution when navigating the waterway.

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue.
