Description

Original 23 October 2026, 3:15pm

Please be advised a tree has fallen into the canal approximately 300 metres upstream of Bridge 27W (Irish Bridge) and is currently blocking navigation.

Our team is aware of the obstruction and will endeavour to remove the tree as soon as possible. Until the tree has been cleared, boaters are advised that navigation through this section is not possible.

With Storm Austen and Storm Boelo forecast to bring adverse weather conditions this weekend, response times and the progress of clearance works may be affected. Boaters are advised to exercise extra caution when navigating the waterway.

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve the issue.
