Please be advised that winter opening arrangements at Frankton Locks will apply from Monday 2 November 2026 until Monday 15 March 2027.
During this period, the locks will be open:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
- 9:00am to 1:00pm

All winter passages must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Bookings cannot be accepted on the day of passage.
A maximum of 12 boats travelling down the locks and 12 boats travelling up the locks will be permitted each day.
When booking, boaters must also provide a date for their return passage. Stays must be for a minimum of one night and a maximum of 14 nights.
Christmas and New Year closures
Frankton Locks will be closed on:
- Friday 25 December 2026, Christmas Day
- Saturday 26 December 2026, Boxing Day
- Friday 1 January 2027, New Year's Day
