Navigation is closed between Lock 3 and Lock 18 on the Ashton Canal due to erosion of the by-wash at Lock 10, which has made the lock inoperable.
Our engineers have attended site to carry out investigations and are currently developing a method of repair.
A further update will be provided on or before Wednesday 28 October.
