Navigation will be restricted at Plank Lane Lift Bridge on the Leigh Branch while works are carried out to replace the pedestrian railings at the bridge.
The works will take place from 8:00 am on Monday 19 October 2026 until 5:00 pm on Friday 6 November 2026.
During this period, passage through the bridge will be available daily, including weekends, during the following times:
- 10:00 am to 11:00 am
- 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Outside of these times, passage through the bridge will not be available while the works are taking place.
There is no need to book passage in advance. Please arrive during one of the above times to navigate through the bridge.
Please approach the area with caution, be prepared to stop if required, and follow any instructions given by our team on site.
