The Light Up Lancaster 2026 event will be taking place from Thursday 5th November 2026 until Saturday 7th November 2026 on the Lancaster Canal. The event will be taking place from 5:00pm until 10:00pm each day.
The event will take place between Bridge 98, Basin Bridge to Bridge 100, Friarage Changeline Bridge.
The towpath will remain open, but we kindly ask you to stay alert and proceed with care while passing through the area.
To ensure the safety of all our customers, navigation will be closed and moorings will be suspended between these bridges from Monday 2nd November 2026 at 9:00am until Sunday 8th November 2026 at 5:00pm.
We request all customers to approach the area with caution, listen to the organisers onsite and to take note of any signage installed onsite.
