Following an assessment on site, the lock gate has become disconnected and will require more extensive repairs before navigation can safely resume.
As a result, navigation at Lock 17 on the North Stratford Canal will remain closed over the weekend.
Our team will return to site on Monday 19 October to continue the repair works and assess the next steps. We will provide a further update on Monday.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential repairs.

Our team are currently on their way to site to assess and attempt a repair at Lock 17 on the North Stratford Canal.
We will provide a further update once the team has attended site.

The Top End Gate is inoperable and can not be opened or closed due to malfunction of gate. Gate requires works to allow gate to opened safely.
