Fallen tree at Western Road Moorings
Please be advised that the fallen willow tree at Western Road Moorings is not obstructing the navigation, and navigation remains open.
The tree is currently blocking access along the towpath in the vicinity of three moored boats.
We will ask our local Operations team to attend tomorrow to assess the fallen tree and cut a way through to restore access along the towpath.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank customers for their patience and understanding while we work to clear the obstruction.
Original 9 October 2026, 4:59pm
Please be advised that navigation is currently closed at Western Road Moorings, Stratford-upon-Avon, due to a large willow tree which has fallen across the towpath and navigation.
Our out-of-hours supervisor is arranging for a contractor to attend at first light to remove the tree or cut a passage through it to allow navigation to safely reopen.
We apologise for the disruption and thank customers for their patience and understanding while the obstruction is cleared.
An update will be provided once navigation can reopen.
