Barkestone Old Bridge 50

Leicestershire County Council Highways is undertaking repairs to the brick arch of Barkestone Old Bridge 50 on the Grantham Canal from Monday 12th October until Friday 4th December between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

This will require the closure of the towpath access point. A temporary pontoon access will be installed across the canal to allow offside public footpath users with an alternative connection point.

There will be a short diversion around the bridge via the access ramps while the towpath under the bridge is closed.
