Bridge 8A to Bridge 4 on the Peak Forest Canal and Bridge 26 to Bridge 3 on the Ashton Canal

A third-party walking event will be taking place on Saturday 3rd October 2026 from 1:00pm until 8:00pm.

The event will be taking place from Bridge 8A, Gee Cross Footbridge to Bridge 4, Newton Hall on the Peak Forest Canal and Bridge 26, Guide Bridge to Bridge 3, Great Ancoats Street Bridge on the Ashton Canal.

The towpath will remain open, but we kindly ask you to stay alert and proceed with care while passing through the area.
