Since our last update, our engineering team and contractors have agreed a method of repair to the damaged bridge substructure following the recent vehicle strike.
The next stage of the works we will be instructing specialist contractors to undertake the removal of the bridge substructure. As part of these works, concrete barriers will also be installed to help protect any further damage to the bridge.
Once the specialist contractors has been appointed, a date for the works will be scheduled and we will be able to provide further information on the timeframe for the repairs.
A further update will be provided on or before Thursday 22 October.

Since our last update, our engineering team and contractors have continued working on plans to safely take down the damaged bridge following the recent vehicle strike.
Our contractors are currently reviewing the proposed method of repair for carrying out these works, and the closure will remain in place while this is being finalised.
Once a date for the works have been confirmed, we will be able to provide more information on the next steps.
A further update will be provided on or before Thursday, 15 October.

Since our last update, our engineering team have been working with contractors to develop a plan to safely take down the damaged bridge following the recent vehicle strike.
Once the bridge has been made safe, we will be able to assess the next steps required to repair the damaged timber support.
A further update will be provided on or before Thursday, 8 October.

Navigation is currently closed at Bridge 20, Wrenbury Bridge on the Llangollen Canal due to a vehicle strike, which has caused damage to the timber support.
Our local team have attended site to carry out an inspection and assess the extent of the damage so a method of repair can be planned.
An update will be provided on or before Friday, 2 October.
